Yesterday (Thursday), the focus of the day was "Practice Discipleship". We spend the first half of the day with all of the kids from our synod (group of lutheran churches from upstate New York), going over the seven aspects of Discipleship; what they were and what they meant. After that, we spend the rest of the day with Bethlehem Fairport Lutheran Church, eating lunch with them and what not. The night's gathering at the Superdome was just as amazing as the previous night; all in all it was a great day.

We're headed to Detroit in July for the ELCA National Youth Gathering, where we will join with 35,000 other young people and adults for a week filled with worship, friends and reaching out to the people of Detroit through a variety of activities based on the theme, "Rise UP Together", 65 youth and adults from the Genesee Finger Lakes region will be heading to Detroit July 14-19; most of us traveling together on a chartered bus.
